Imagine you manage a coven of baseball-playing vampires. The Cullen family is really strong this year and you want to bring in a ringer. Which currently active MLB baseball player do you sire?

Out of all of your favorite books, pick just one you'd recommend everyone read. As a bonus: why did you pick that one?

12:08 am - Life Rant...

Has anyone else noticed that when people get into relationships, their personality kinda goes straight down the toilet? Guy-wise, they're instantly whipped and at the girl's beck and call. Girl-wise, they turn into pathetic piles of romantic mush. At least this is what I've gathered from my observations. This tends to be why I don't want to date anyone at the current time. (Well, plus I want to focus on school and getting my own life together first, but whatever...) I don't want to do that. And I don't want to do that to a guy that I obviously care about. So people seriously need to lay  off. I'm flattered that you like me, sure. But don't expect anything to come of it. At least not for a few years. And to the others that try to push the idea of how wonderful it is to have a boyfriend on me (which I'm sure it is, really) I just don't want to deal with all that extra crap right now.

What else sucks too is the fact that some of my friends can't seem to see that I have other friends, some of which I would rather spend my time with. Especially when I'll be spending my college life with some of these people and some not. And just because I don't spend as much time with you as I used to doesn't mean that I randomly hate you now. Priorities, people. I has them and I'm sorry if you don't agree.

I seriously love LJ. It's a good way for me to rant that's not readily available to every single one of my friends -_-

Today marks the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. Obama's campaign was built around a message of change. What changes would you most like to see in the next 4 years?

End the war. Equality for all (marriage equality included). A good economy. I think that's all we really need.

Happy birthday, A. A. Milne! Not coincidentally, it's also Winnie the Pooh Day. Which resident of Pooh Corner do you identify with the most?

I'm some strange hybrid of Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger
Eeyore is exactly how I am when I'm sad/disappointed/whatever
Piglet when I'm around people I don't know or like
Tigger when I'm with my friends ^^

06:50 pm - Writer's Block: Church and State

Today in 1893 U.S. President Benjamin Harrison declared full amnesty for Mormon polygamists. Is it the government's place to define which marriages are valid and which are not?

Oh god, don't even get me started. Of course not. If someone is in love with another (no matter how many it may be) it is no one else's place to deny them that. I believe that the government should only have a say when the individuals involved are not consenting...

09:38 pm - Writer's Block: Physical Education

Call it gym, P.E., recess, or pure hell, most people have participated in a class at school that focused on games and athletics. What sport or game did you hate the most when you were a kid? What sport or game was your favorite?

I hated gym and almost every sport we played. Dodgeball wasn't too bad since the teams were always so big that I didn't really have to do anything. Back in gradeschool, though, one time we played Titanic and that was like the best game evah. There were mats set up all around the gym and we had these tiny scooters and ropes (and our shoes!) to get us from mat to mat so we could get to the other side of the gym ^^
